Baseball Recap: Edison Comes Up Short

If Edison was riding high fresh off their 11-0 takedown of Minerva on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats fell just short of the Harrison Central Huskies by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Edison's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Harrison Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Edison will head out to challenge Toronto at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Knights will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Harrison Central, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Chippewa at 5:00 p.m.
