Volleyball Recap: True North Classical Academy Takes a Loss

True North Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Saturday.

True North Classical Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-18.

Dayleen Valdes paced True North Classical Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Valdes were helped by Ella Sarti and Bianca Gomez, who contributed 12 assists each.

True North Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Archbishop McCarthy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

True North Classical Academy has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Coral Gables on the 26th. As for Archbishop McCarthy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Calvary Christian Academy on the 25th.
