Avella is 8-2 against Mapletown since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Maples at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Friday, Avella came up short against McGuffey and fell 4-1. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Mapletown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Carmichaels, falling 11-1.

Having lost for the first time this season, Avella fell to 3-1. As for Mapletown, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Avella got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Mapletown by a conclusive 17-6 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Maples have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
