Football Recap: Pine Forest Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Pine Forest and Choctawhatchee squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Pine Forest had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 52-0 loss at the hands of the Indians. Having soared to a lofty 31 points in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Diaris Morales continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Choctawhatchee, throwing for 242 yards and five TDs, while also punching in one touchdown on the ground. Those five passing touchdowns gave Morales a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Peyton DiBendetto, who picked up 128 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Pine Forest has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Choctawhatchee, their record is now 13-2.

Pine Forest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Choctawhatchee, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 21-0 win against Fort Walton Beach on the 16th.
