Baseball Game Preview: Diman RVT Bengals vs. Blue Hills RVT Warriors

Diman RVT is 8-2 against Blue Hills RVT since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bengals will face off against the Warriors at 3:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Diman RVT took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past Bristol-Plymouth RVT 7-0. The Bengals haven't had any issues with the Craftsmen recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Samuel Perry made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Diman RVT is 4-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Perry was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Matt Almeida, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Blue Hills RVT hadn't done well against Southeastern RVT recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Warriors walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Hawks.

Diman RVT pushed their record up to 4-4 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Blue Hills RVT, their record now sits at 4-2-1.

Everything went Diman RVT's way against Blue Hills RVT in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Diman RVT made off with an 11-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bengals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
