Volleyball Recap: South Philadelphia's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

After flying high against First Philadelphia Prep last Wednesday, South Philadelphia came back down to earth. The Rams fell just short of the MAST Charter II Voyagers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. While the Rams didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Voyagers 25-18 in the first set.

South Philadelphia started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 21-25, 25-21, 26-24, 15-13.

Having lost for the first time this season, South Philadelphia fell to 4-1. As for MAST Charter II, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Philadelphia is set to challenge their familiar foe Kensington at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, MAST Charter II will take on rival Saul at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
