Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Wayne Takes a Loss

After flying high against New Haven on Monday, Fort Wayne Wayne came back down to earth. The Generals lost 3-0 to the Homestead Spartans on Thursday. If the Generals were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Spartans when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-13, 25-14.

Katie Kitch was the offensive standout of the match as she had 15 digs and two aces. Those two aces gave her a new career-high. Emileigh Berger also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Fort Wayne Wayne now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Homestead, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-4 record.

Fort Wayne Wayne didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Maconaquah on the 30th. As for Homestead, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Fort Wayne Snider on the 2nd.
