Recap: Uintah Utes vs. Moffat County Bulldogs
Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 13 to 4 on the offensive boards, a fact the Uintah Utes proved on Tuesday. They snuck past Moffat County with a 39-33 win. That's another feather in the cap for Uintah, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Charlee Gilroy was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 10 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Uintah's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Crane, who scored 7 points.
Moffat County's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Katie Jo Knez, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
The win got Uintah back to even at 1-1. As for Moffat County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Uintah will take on Emery at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Emery knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Uintah likes a good challenge. As for Moffat County, they will be playing at home against Eagle Valley at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Eagle Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday.
