Basketball Game Preview: Dacula Falcons vs. Mountain View Bears

The Dacula Falcons will challenge the Mountain View Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Monday, Dacula lost to Buford on the road by a 79-65 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (62), the Falcons still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Buford, falling 75-55. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 317th, while the Wolves are ranked 41st).

Dacula's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-11. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 4.5 points. As for Mountain View, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Dacula strolled past Mountain View in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 63-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dacula since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
