Snowflake has gone 9-1 against Holbrook recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Snowflake will head out to challenge Holbrook at 2:00 p.m. Snowflake's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Holbrook's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Snowflake blew Round Valley out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Round Valley got their revenge. Snowflake fell just short of Round Valley by a score of 6-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Snowflake saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Perkins, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4. Kloe Burden was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Even though they lost, Snowflake hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in three consecutive contests.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Holbrook and Chinle, and Holbrook kept the tradition alive. Holbrook put the hurt on Chinle with a sharp 13-1 win on Wednesday. Considering the Roadrunners have won three games by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Tamryn Baldonado made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. That one hit allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Amber Begay was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Leah Gashweseoma also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Snowflake's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-3. As for Holbrook, their record is now 3-4.
Snowflake took their victory against Holbrook in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-3. Does Snowflake have another victory up their sleeve, or will Holbrook turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
