For the first time this season, Solanco will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to take on the Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Solanco will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Solanco's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Manheim Central with a sharp 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Golden Mules, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Ava Fedoruk, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. She has been hot, having posted three or more hits the last five times she's played. Ava Martin also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Solanco was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .412 or higher in five consecutive games.
While Lampeter-Strasburg didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over Cedar Crest on Tuesday. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Natalie Hill was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Hill was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with four RBI.
In other batting news, Lampeter-Strasburg got a massive performance out of Alaina Brenneman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Brenneman has posted since back in April of 2024. Mackenzie Mack was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Lampeter-Strasburg's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Solanco, their record is now 7-1.
Solanco's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's matchup. The Golden Mules have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Lampeter-Strasburg, though, as they've been averaging only 0.9 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Solanco continue to outrun the ball?
Solanco took their win against Lampeter-Strasburg in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Mules since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
