Soccer Game Preview: Oak Hall vs. Saint Francis Catholic

Oak Hall and Saint Francis Catholic are an even 4-4-2 against one another since January of 2015, but likely not for long. The Oak Hall Eagles will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against the Saint Francis Catholic Wolves at 5:00 p.m.

Oak Hall is coming into the match fresh off a high-scoring shootout with Branford that saw the pair combine for 11 shots on goal. Oak Hall fell just short of Branford by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. That makes it the first time this season the Eagles have let down their home crowd.

Ella West and Rose Bosshardt scored both of Oak Hall's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Saint Francis Catholic had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They and North Marion finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Wolves as the team haven't won a game since November 5th.

Saint Francis Catholic's draw makes their record 1-8-1 this season. As for Oak Hall, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1-1.
