Baseball Recap: Tidehaven Gets the Win

Tidehaven came out on top against Palacios on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Tigers walked away with an 8-4 win over the Sharks. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Sharks: they've now won nine in a row.

TRISTAN GALVAN was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Tidehaven's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 7-0-1 (and 6-9-1 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, BODIE SONES was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was STRATTON CROW, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Tidehaven's record is now 13-9-2. As for Palacios, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-21.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tidehaven beat the Sharks by a score of 12-1 on Tuesday.
