Marcus is 9-1 against Lewisville since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field one another at 7:00 p.m. This will be Marcus' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Marcus' tournament run continued when they took on Fullerton last Saturday. Marcus fell just short of Fullerton by a score of 5-4. The Marauders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lewisville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Martin by a score of 6-1 last Saturday.

Ivan Corral made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Corral was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.

In other pitching news, Aidan Brice looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Vaughn Vongkham, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-4. He also hit two doubles, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Donovan Smith, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2.

Lewisville now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Marcus, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Everything went Marcus' way against Lewisville in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Marcus made off with a 7-0 win. Will Marcus repeat their success, or does Lewisville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
