Softball Game Preview: Black River Pirates vs. Triway Titans

The Black River Pirates will head out to challenge the Triway Titans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Black River's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three games, but Saturday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Thursday, Black River came up short against Keystone and fell 6-2.

Black River saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abbey Kiser, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Triway came out on top against Canton South on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fifth inning. The Titans put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 13-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won five matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Triway's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Black River, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
