Basketball Recap: Ja'nyce Floyd Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Berea

Seneca's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 51-38 win over the Berea Bulldogs. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Seneca got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ja'Nyce Floyd out in front who went 6-for-15 to rack up 21 points and four steals. Those 21 points gave Floyd a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Weston, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

The victory got Seneca back to even at 1-1. As for Berea, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Seneca has already played their next contest (against Mountain View Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Berea, they will face off against Southside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
