Basketball Recap: Ben Lomond Comes Up Short

Ben Lomond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 55-42 to the Ogden Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Scots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 39-34 back in January.

Despite the loss, Ben Lomond still got an impressive performance from Jaerdan Vanbeekum, who went 6 for 11 en route to 18 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Issac Stephens, who posted seven points.

Ben Lomond's record is now 5-16. As for Ogden, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ben Lomond will take on Grantsville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ben Lomond is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.4 points per game this season. As for Ogden, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Ogden Tigers challenge the Union Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ogden has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
