Basketball Recap: Durango Takes a Loss

Durango has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-46 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks.

Cheyenne Mountain's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alex Treglia, who went 7 of 13 en route to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Mccoy Huckstep, who posted eight points and 15 boards.

Durango's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Cheyenne Mountain, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Durango wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 75-46 win against Pagosa Springs on the 14th. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-61 defeat against Rampart on the 14th.
