Volleyball Recap: Ola Finds Home Court Redemption Against Upson-Lee

There's no place like home for Ola, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Upson-Lee Knights on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ola easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15.

Makenna Fowler paced Ola's offense, picking up six kills. Fowler got some help from Ashlyn Phillips and her 14 assists. Morgan Jacaman and Lily Powell kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Ola is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Upson-Lee, they moved to 6-6 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Ola and Upson-Lee will both be playing First Presbyterian Day the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
