Marion had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Waterloo Bulldogs on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in May, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Marion is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Waterloo, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 22-5.

As of now, neither Marion nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
