Baseball Game Preview: St. Stephen's Episcopal Spartans vs. Trinity Valley Trojans

The St. Stephen's Episcopal Spartans will head out on the road to take on the Trinity Valley Trojans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Tuesday, St. Stephen's Episcopal came up short against Hill Country Christian School of Austin and fell 10-5.

St. Stephen's Episcopal saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Talarico, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave Talarico a new career-high in runs.

Meanwhile, Trinity Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-5 to St. Andrew's.

Hub Nickels made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
