Softball Recap: Sandia Takes a Loss

Sandia was the 10-0 winner over Aztec when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Sandia lost 9-3 to Aztec on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that the Matadors have lost by exactly six runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Sandia and nudges their season record down to 7-7. As for Aztec, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-10 record this season.

Sandia wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-0 loss against Cleveland on the 29th. As for Aztec, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-8 win against Kirtland Central on the 29th.
