Basketball Recap: Vermilion Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Vermilion waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 50-45 W against the Edison Chargers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-40 back in December of 2025.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Taylor Moore, who went 6-for-13 en route to 15 points. Moore has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: she's posted one of at least 46% every time she's hit the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ella Booth, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards.

Vermilion now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Edison, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-8.

Coming up, Vermilion will face off against Port Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Edison, they will take on Lakota at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
