Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for King's Christian

King's Christian came out on top against Gloucester County Christian on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run fourth inning. The Knights walked away with an 11-7 win over the Conquerors. The victory was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on three straight.

Bryce Brown made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because King's Christian is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 4-5 otherwise. Brown was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sam Yoo, who went 1-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Lawlor, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

King's Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matches.

King's Christian pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Gloucester County Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Looking ahead, King's Christian will take on Moorestown Friends at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gloucester County Christian, they will square off against Atlantic Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
