Basketball Recap: Sandy Valley Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hiland, Sandy Valley was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Claymont Mustangs, sneaking past 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cardinals have posted since January 10, 2024.

Sandy Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Claymont, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sandy Valley will take on Indian Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Claymont, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ridgewood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
