Softball Game Preview: Page Pirates vs. Northwest Guilford Vikings

Page hasn't had much luck against Northwest Guilford recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Page Pirates will venture away from home to face off against the Northwest Guilford Vikings at 6:00 p.m.

Page is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They lost 17-7 to Ragsdale.

Jaslyn Marshall and Ariel McAfee did some serious damage despite the final result: Marshall scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3, while McAfee got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run. The dominant performance also gave Marshall a new career-high in RBI (two). Kassidy Swindell was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Northwest Guilford got themselves on the board against Grimsley on Friday, but Grimsley never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 23-0 margin over the Whirlies. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Page's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Northwest Guilford, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Page might still be hurting after the 16-0 defeat they got from Northwest Guilford in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Page avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
