Basketball Game Preview: East Paulding Raiders vs. Lithia Springs Lions

East Paulding is 0-4 against Lithia Springs since January of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The East Paulding Raiders will face off against the Lithia Springs Lions at 7:30 p.m. Lithia Springs took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on East Paulding, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, East Paulding turned things around against Arlington Christian on Saturday. They skirted past Arlington Christian 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since November 14, 2024.

Meanwhile, Lithia Springs ended up a good deal behind Eagle's Landing on Friday and lost 63-44. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Eagles are ranked 100th).

East Paulding's victory bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Lithia Springs, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

East Paulding suffered a grim 79-56 defeat to Lithia Springs in their previous meeting back in February of 2016. Thankfully for East Paulding, James Williams (who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
