Recap: Sutton Sammies vs. Blackstone-Millville Chargers
The Sutton Sammies put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Blackstone-Millville 50-9 at home. Sutton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five contests by 23 points or more this season.
Despite the defeat, Blackstone-Millville saw an underclassman step up: Marren Barry scored six points.
Sutton's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Blackstone-Millville, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sutton will challenge Whitinsville Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Whitinsville Christian: 24.5, Sutton: 22.7) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Blackstone-Millville, they will head out on the road to face off against Nipmuc Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
