Basketball Recap: Manassas Comes Up Short

Manassas lost against Soulsville back in January of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Manassas Tigers took a 60-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Soulsville Revolution. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Soulsville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from NICKARREON WILLIAMS, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 22 points along with five assists and three steals. WILLIAMS has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of JAKEEL TRUSS, who went 7 for 14 en route to 22 points and five boards.

Manassas' record now sits at 4-4. As for Soulsville, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-6.

Manassas will venture away from home to challenge Booker T. Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Soulsville has already played their next contest (against Kirby), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
