Meanwhile, Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]'s undefeated season came to an end after 13 games on Tuesday. They took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Boone Central. The loss put an end to the Bobcats' undefeated start to the season.

Pierce will need focus on slowing down Michael Koenig, one of several Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 18 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The matchup was Koenig's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sam Cheatum, who had 11 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]'s defeat ended a 15-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-1. As for Pierce, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
