Baseball Recap: Cleburne County Takes a Loss

Cleburne County lost against Jacksonville back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cleburne County Tigers fell just short of the Jacksonville Golden Eagles by a score of 2-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Tigers were not able to get on the board.

Cleburne County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Jacksonville, their record is now 5-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cleburne County will challenge Ranburne at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Cleburne County's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Ranburne's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Jacksonville, they will take on Ohatchee at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
