Basketball Recap: Clearbrook-Gonvick Takes a Loss

Clearbrook-Gonvick lost against Kelliher/Northome back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears were beaten by the Kelliher/Northome Mustangs 79-41.

Kelliher/Northome was led to victory by Kylee Binkley and Kate Thayer. Binkley dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten steals, while Thayer went 11 of 16 on her way to 27 points and six steals. Thayer's evening made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlize Hallstrom, who posted 11 points and four blocks.

Clearbrook-Gonvick's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Kelliher/Northome, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Clearbrook-Gonvick will welcome Fosston at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kelliher/Northome, they will square off against Badger/Greenbush-Middle River at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
