Hudson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 19-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northside Christian Mustangs.
Hudson wouldn't let Northside Christian keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Hudson can thank Chris Morillo and Dominic Gilio for forcing both of them. Hudson got some further help from Ll Warren: he made 14 total tackles and defended three passes.
Chase Burrill had an outrageously good game for Northside Christian as he threw for 436 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.1% of his passes. The dominant performance gave Burrill a new career-high in rushing yards. Gavin Richardson was Burrill's top target, picking up 101 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Hudson's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Northside Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hudson will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week.
