Volleyball Recap: Masuk Comes Up Short

After flying high against Weston last Thursday, Masuk came back down to earth. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Joel Barlow Falcons on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Addison Scott paced Masuk's offense, picking up nine kills. Scott got some help from Mia Tyler and her 19 assists. Finally, Grace Kehoe kept Masuk's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Masuk's defeat dropped their record down to 21-11. As for Joel Barlow, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 18-3.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Masuk and Hartford Public will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Joel Barlow does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
