Basketball Recap: Justin Williams' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Brevard Christian over Synergy Magnet K12

Brevard Christian was the 65-43 winner over Synergy Magnet K12 when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Brevard Christian War Eagles took a 59-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Synergy Magnet K12 Saints on Thursday. The War Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several War Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Justin Williams, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 boards. Williams' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Mitchell, who posted eight points in addition to six rebounds and four blocks.

Brevard Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Synergy Magnet K12, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-10.

Brevard Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-48 loss against Bayside on the 24th. As for Synergy Magnet K12, they will challenge Master's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
