Volleyball Game Preview: El Camino Wildcats vs. Lincoln Hornets + Official Tickets

The El Camino Wildcats will take on the Lincoln Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

El Camino is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Everything went their way against High Tech Mesa as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant El Camino was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-9, 25-14.

El Camino can attribute much of their success to Makayla Boone, who had 14 digs, and Analecia Curran, who had five aces and three digs. That's the most digs Boone has posted since back in September.

They weren't the only good servers: El Camino was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in six consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Lincoln came into Wednesday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Steele Canyon with a sharp 3-0 win on Wednesday. The Hornets not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 16th (when they won 3-0).

Lincoln never let Steele Canyon on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-20.

The victory got Lincoln back to even at 15-15. As for El Camino, their win bumped their record up to 28-11.
