Softball Game Preview: Columbus Sharks vs. Walton Wildcats

The Columbus Sharks are taking a road trip to square off against the Walton Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Columbus will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Friday, Columbus was able to grind out a solid win over Jamaica, taking the game 7-3.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Walton, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. Everything went their way against Sinatra on Friday as they made off with a 12-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Columbus pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Walton, their win bumped their record up to 12-2.

Columbus took their victory against Walton in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 13-4 score. Will the Sharks repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
