Softball Recap: Halifax County Takes a Loss

Halifax County managed to slip by Tunstall the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Comets lost 13-7 to the Trojans on Wednesday. The Comets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Halifax County's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Tunstall, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Halifax County will head out to take on Bassett at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bengals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.25 runs per game on average), something the Comets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Tunstall, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Randolph-Henry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
