The Greenbrier Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Little Rock Christian Academy Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Little Rock Christian Academy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Greenbrier, who comes in off a win.
Greenbrier took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against Baptist Prep as Greenbrier made off with a 10-0 win. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.
Lynlee Thomas made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in earned runs (zero). She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ellison Miller was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Kamryn Pudinas was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.
Greenbrier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Little Rock Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-1 to Heber Springs.
Little Rock Christian Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Callahan, who went 2-for-3 with one home run. Callahan also put up a run, which was her first of the season.
Little Rock Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Greenbrier, their record is now 3-8.
Everything went Greenbrier's way against Little Rock Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2019, as Greenbrier made off with a 17-0 victory.
