Softball Recap: Billings Comes Up Short

Billings was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-1 to the Lockwood Tigers. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 16-1 to the Tigers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Billings' record now sits at 0-3. As for Lockwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Billings Wildcats take on Lamar Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lockwood, they will head out on the road to square off against Jasper at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Jasper has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.67 runs per game on average), something Lockwood will no doubt try to take advantage of.
