Softball Recap: Legacy Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bishop Lynch on Monday, Legacy Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Prestonwood Christian Lions by a score of 17-16 on Tuesday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 7-6.

Lynlee Kennedy and Mallary Renner stepped up to the plate in a big way. Kennedy scored three runs while going 2-for-4, while Renner scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Renner has been hot recently, having also posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. Kylie Carlock was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two triples and two runs.

Legacy Christian Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-10-1. As for Prestonwood Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Legacy Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Country Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Prestonwood Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
