Baseball Recap: Ashwaubenon Gets the Win

While Ashwaubenon's victory against Sheboygan North wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Jaguars had just enough and edged out the Golden Raiders 2-1 on Monday. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Golden Raiders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Ashwaubenon got a great performance from Nick Smith as he pitched 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, Smith posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, Ashwaubenon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Jeske, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was Jeske's first of the season.

Ashwaubenon's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Sheboygan North, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Ashwaubenon has already played their next match (against Bay Port), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Sheboygan North, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-0 defeat against Pulaski on the 30th.
