Preview: Bremen Blue Devils vs. Temple Tigers
Bremen is 0-10 against Temple since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. Both teams will round out the year against one another at 4:30 p.m. at. Bremen comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Saturday, Bremen might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Trion an easy 62-42 victory. While losing is never fun, Bremen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 546th, while Trion is ranked 77th).
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Temple's good fortune finally ran out last Saturday. They suffered a rough 59-33 loss at the hands of Central. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Temple has scored all season.
Bremen bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Temple, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3.
Bremen was dealt a bruising 67-27 defeat at the hands of Temple in their previous meeting back in January. Can Bremen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
