Volleyball Recap: Canton South Takes a Loss

Canton South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Washington Tigers. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Canton South came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 27-25, 23-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Canton South's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Washington, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.

Canton South didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Fairless on the 23rd. As for Washington, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Aquinas on the 30th.
