Basketball Recap: Woodlawn Comes Up Short

Woodlawn suffered their biggest defeat since December 9, 2024 on Friday. They lost 54-29 to the Mountain Brook Spartans. The loss continues a trend for the Colonels in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now lost six in a row.

Woodlawn's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Mountain Brook, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Pell City the next time they take the court. Mountain Brook will head out to face Pell City at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Woodlawn will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
