CJ Maxwell and Dustin Carter provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Central Linn. The longest such play in 2A Special District 1 this season, the connection resulted in 85 yards.
Gold Beach added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Cobras, 34-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Gold Beach's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Maxwell has thrown for 1,279 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Garrett Litterell has 37 catches for 610 yards.
Gold Beach led the league in scoring this week by notching 34 points on Central Linn. Michael Romsa ran for 143 yards in the win.
