Basketball Recap: Palmer Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Palmer extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 4-4. They received a blow as they fell 54-35 to the Leflore County Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-44 back in November.

When it comes to explaining why Palmer lost, don't look at Kevin Caston. Despite the final result, he posted 17 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Hendrix Jamison was another key player, putting up eight points and 11 boards.

As for Leflore County, the win got them back to even at 3-3. The contest marked their most dominant victory of the season so far.

Leflore County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caleb Day led the charge by dropping a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds. That's the most boards Day has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Gilbert, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Looking ahead, Palmer will be playing in front of their home fans against Amanda Elzy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.6 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Leflore County, they will square off against Edwards at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
