Basketball Game Preview: Cumberland Colts vs. Triton Mustangs

Cumberland and Triton are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. It'll be an old-fashioned rodeo when the Cumberland Colts take on the Triton Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Wednesday, Cumberland took a blow against Clearview, falling 49-20. The defeat continues a trend for the Colts in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Triton had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Kingsway an easy 64-44 victory.

Cumberland now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Triton, they dropped their record down to 0-1 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Cumberland beat Triton 45-32 in their previous meeting back in February. Does Cumberland have another victory up their sleeve, or will Triton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
