Football Recap: Aiden Lane Leads Ava's Defense on Thursday

Ava lost to Houston back in November of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Bears blew past the Tigers 43-20. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.

Ava didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Aiden Lane, Braxton Swearengin, and Jacob Laub picked up one apiece. Swearengin got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

When it comes to explaining why Houston lost, don't look at Caden Guerra. Despite the final result, he rushed for 119 yards on only ten carries.

Ava's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-3. As for Houston, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 3-3.
