Lincoln has gone 6-1 against Buckhannon-Upshur recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Cougars will head out to face off against the Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Lincoln's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four matches.

Lincoln fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Philip Barbour on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Colts by a score of 13-12. Surprisingly, this marked the Cougars' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Kennedy Linville was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-5 with four runs, three RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Aspen Dyer, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Buckhannon-Upshur and University had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Buccaneers came up short against the Hawks on Monday, falling 19-1.

Buckhannon-Upshur saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddy Tucker, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double.

Lincoln dropped their record down to 11-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Buckhannon-Upshur, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Lincoln couldn't quite get it done against Buckhannon-Upshur in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 10-7. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
